śatakatrayam 1.11: wisdom in a fool’s court

शास्त्रोपस्कृतशब्दसुन्दरगिर: शिष्यप्रदेयागमा
विख्याता: कवयो वसन्ति विषये यस्य प्रभोर्निर्धना: ।
तज्जाड्यं वसुधाधिपस्य सुधियस्त्वर्थं विनापीश्वरा:
कुत्स्या: स्यु: कुपरीक्षकैर्न मणयो यैरर्घत: पातिता: ।।११।।
नीतिशतके

celebrated scholars–
who are learned, speak eloquently,
and whose books are widely read,
are poor only if they live
in a place where
the rich and influential are ignorant.
the wise are wealthy even without money.
after all, precious stones are precious stones,
even if philistines think they are worthless. ||11||
